Southern Police District (SPD) operatives arrested on Wednesday, Oct.1, three drug suspects and seized P1.53 million worth of shabu and a firearm in Taguig City.
The three high-value individuals were identified as alias Kim, 35; alias Jeremy, 29; and alias Don Christian, 39.
Operatives from the SPD’s District Drug Enforcement Unit, together with the District Intelligence Division and Taguig Police Substation 7, launched the operation in Barangay Upper Bicutan, Taguig.
Authorities confiscated from the suspects five plastic sachets containing 225 grams of shabu worth P1.53 million, and the buy-bust money.
Police also seized a .45-caliber pistol with one magazine and five pieces of live ammunition, and a cell phone.
The suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, acting SPD district director said, “This successful operation has taken over 1.5 million pesos worth of illegal narcotics off the streets and neutralized three major suppliers operating in our district. This is a clear message that the SPD will continue its aggressive campaign against illegal drugs and firearms to ensure a safer and more peaceful environment for the citizens of Southern Metro Manila.”
