'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty' breaks own ratings records anew, rises to 15.4%
There’s no stopping the Korean drama “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty,” starring Yoona and Lee Chae-min, as it broke its own records again.
Episodes 7 and 8 aired in South Korea on Sept. 13 and 14.
Episode 8, which aired on tvN, garnered a nationwide rating of 15.405 percent (peaking at 17.4 percent) in South Korea, the drama’s highest since it premiered on Aug. 23.
This is an increase of 2.758 percentage points compared to 12.647 percent nationwide rating for episode 7.
In the metropolitan area (Incheon, Gyeonggi and Seoul), episode 8 received a rating of 15.815 percent (peaking at 18.1 percent), also the drama’s highest since premiere. Episode 7 received a rating of 12.828 percent in the metropolitan area.
The episode 8 ratings took first place in the same time slot across all channels, including terrestrial, in South Korea.
In the viewership ratings in the coveted 20-49 age group, “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty” garnered ratings of 5.8 percent (peak of 6.7 percent) nationwide and 5.5 percent (peak of 6.6 percent) in the metropolitan area, taking first place in the same time slot across all channels, Korean media reported.
The ratings were based on paid platforms integrating cable, IPTV, and satellite in South Korea.
In episode 8, Yeon Ji-yeong (Yoona) participated in a cooking competition. The final result of the competition will be revealed in episode 9 on Sept. 20.
