A 67-year-old man, facing a criminal case of statutory rape under Republic Act 11648 in Rodriguez, Rizal, who went into hiding since 2023, was arrested by members of the Pasay City Police on Saturday, Sept 13.
Pasay City Police Chief Col. Joselito De Sesto identified the suspect as Mang Domeng, 67, of Carlton Village, Rodriguez, Rizal, with a secondary address at F.B. Harrison Street, Pasay City. He was arrested at around 1:40 p.m. at P. Bukaneg Street, CCP Complex, Pasay City.
De Sesto said that members of the Pasay City Police Substation-1 arrested Mang Domeng, who was ranked as one of the Top 7 most wanted persons in Region 4B (MIMAROPA), during a manhunt operation for the arrest of wanted criminals.
He said the suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Edwin B. Buffe, of Odiongan, Romblon Regional Trial Court, Branch 82.
The city police chief said Odiongan issued two warrants of arrest for the arrest of Mang Domeng for Criminal Case Nos. OD-3289 and OD-3290 on July 12, 2023, and September 2, 2024, with no bail recommended.
De Sesto said the suspect was turned over to the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) after his arrest, and proper coordination has been made with the Calatrava Municipal Police Station for the return of the warrant to the issuing court.
