Michael V addresses comparisons between himself and Sarah Discaya: 'Parang kamukha ko siya'

Comedy genius Michael V. candidly shared his thoughts on the striking comparisons people have drawn between him and the appearance of the businesswoman Sarah Discaya.

Although Michael V didn't directly mention Sarah, it was evident that she was the target of his latest spoof. This all began when Sarah attended the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing regarding flood control projects last Sept. 1.
The Internet has gone crazy, as Michael V. steps into his latest spoof as CialaDismaya. His resemblance to a controversial and talk-of-the-town personality

is uncanny. Thus, making the parody a much-anticipated event this Sunday on "Bubble Gang."

Now the big question here is, what was Bitoy’s initial reaction when everyone noticed his look-alike? The legend laughingly responds, “Actually una kong napansin kaagad ‘yan sa Senate hearing. Ako mismo napansin ko na. Parang kamukha ko siya. Parang konting effort na lang magagaya ko na siya. (Actually, Ifirst noticed that right away at the Senate hearing. I saw it myself. It's like she looks just like me. It's like I can imitate her with just a little effort.)"

Michael V. admits that he had an idea of doing the skit due to insistent public demand, so as the netizens put it, “They heard us!” According to Bitoy, “Hindi ko muna inisip na gayahin right away. Pero dahil sa dami ng messages na nagpa-flood sa feed ko, binato ko na agad sa creative team ng Bubble Gang. And they had the same idea rin pala. (I didn't think of copying it right away. But because ofthe many messages that flooded my feed, I immediately pitched it to the Bubble Gang creative team. And they had the same idea too.)"

Last Monday, Sept. 8, Bubble Gang first dropped a teaser of the sketch and it immediately went viral. “Nagulat ako dahil nakatalikod pa lang, ‘di pa nga nila nakikita ‘yung mukha, na-excite na agad ‘yung mga tao. Abangan ninyo this Sunday, mas lalo kayong matutuwa sa inihanda namin. (I was surprised becauseeven though my back was turned, they couldn't even see my face, people were already excited. Stay tuned this Sunday, you'll be even more excited about what we've prepared)," Bitoy shares.

The comedy icon highlights that his upcoming parody is sure to be relevant, impactful, and of course, hysterical, “Kung ano ‘yung issue sa Senado, ‘yun din ang issue na tinackle namin. Pero as usual with the Bubble Gang formula, kailangan ilihis mo ng konti at humorous siya. Ang attempt namin ay hindi para manira ng tao kundi para magpatawa ng mga tao. (Whatever the issue in theSenate, that's the issue we tackled. But as usual with the Bubble Gang formula, you have to divert it a little and be humorous. Our attempt is not to disparage people but to make people laugh.)
