The exhibit highlights Marian images under various titles from Antipolo, Marikina, Manila, Quezon City, and Taytay, Rizal. It honors the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The Marian images on display are owned by camareros, or caretakers of the images. Some of the camareros were invited to participate, while others voluntarily joined to feature their images.
The Riverbanks Center said that this is the fifth year the Marian exhibit has been staged in partnership with San Jose Manggagawa Parish in Marikina.
“Ito na ang ika-limang taon na ginaganap ang Marian Exhibit sa Riverbanks Center, katuwang ang San Jose Manggagawa Parish Marikina. Ngayon din ang taon na may pinaka maraming sumali na imahen na aabot sa halos 100 piraso (This year marks the fifth staging of the Marian exhibit at Riverbanks Center in partnership with San Jose Manggagawa Parish in Marikina. It also features the largest participation so far, with nearly 100 images on display),” it said.
The public is invited to visit the exhibit, which also includes the recitation of the Holy Rosary every 6 p.m. in front of Nuestra Señora de Fátima de Marikina.
The exhibit opened on Sunday, Sept. 7, at Outlet Avenue in Riverbanks Center and will run until Sept. 21. It is free and open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
