A manhunt operation was launched on Saturday night, August 30, in Tagaytay City to arrest suspects involved in a robbery and rape incident at a Pasay City establishment.
Pasay City Police chief Col. Joselito De Sesto said a tracker team was formed to investigate the case and ensure the immediate arrest of the suspects.
CCTV footage was reviewed, and backtracking operations were conducted to trace the route taken after the crime.
The incident occurred when two armed men aboard a white Honda motorcycle entered the establishment and declared a hold-up.
Thirteen massage therapists were robbed of cash and personal belongings, while two victims, aged 20 to 33, were allegedly raped.
One of the suspects, identified as Ashley, 23, a resident of Pasay City, was positively recognized by the victims through the police’s e-rogue gallery.
Mayor Imelda Rubiano condemned the incident and assured the victims of full support, including legal assistance and coordination with law enforcement agencies.
