PDEA: Over 15 kilos of marijuana surrendered in Laguna

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Laguna Provincial Office commended a private citizen for turning over on Sunday, Aug. 17, around 15 kilograms of suspected marijuana bricks, and 203.2 grams of marijuana oil and seeds.

In a statement, PDEA said the private citizen, whose name was withheld for security reasons, brought the dangerous drugs to the PDEA Region Office 4-A in Barangay Sinalhan, Santa Rosa City where it was subjected to chemical analysis.

PDEA Calabarzon expressed deepest gratitude to private citizens, encouraging “the public to inform them of possible similar incidents.’’

Elsewhere in the Calabarzon Region, more or less 100 grams of shabu was seized on Sunday, Aug. 17 following the arrest of three high-value target (HVT) drug suspects during a buy-bust operation in Tanza, Cavite.

The top drug suspects alias Marlon, 46; Kindak, 42; and Tonggal, 31 were nabbed at around 3:50 p.m. in Barangay Capipisa.

Aside from shabu, the PDEA Regional Office 4-A Special Enforcement Team 1 and Philippine National Police (PNP) Cavite Maritime Police Station also confiscated the buy-bust money from the trio.
