The next emerging sensation in the vibrant world of K-pop is poised to win over the hearts of Filipino fans: the dynamic eight-member boy band NTX from South Korea. With their captivating melodies, electrifying choreography, and innovative sound, they have been making significant strides on the global music stage.

Now, NTX is setting its sights on the Philippines, a nation renowned for its fervent and devoted K-pop community. Established by Victory Company, NTX—short for Neo Tracks No. X—made a dazzling debut on March 30, 2021, with their lively and enchanting title track “Kiss The World” from their inaugural EP, Full of Lovescapes.

From their very first performance, they have distinguished themselves with their exceptional ability to blend an array of musical genres, effortlessly weaving together elements of pop, hip-hop, R&B, and EDM.

The result is a sound that feels both refreshingly new and comfortingly familiar, captivating listeners and drawing them into their musical journey.

Their name represents their mission: to break boundaries, explore new horizons, and expand the map of K-pop to new audiences worldwide. The group’s current lineup includes Hyeongjin, Yunhyeok, Xiha (formerly Jaemin), Changhun, Hojun, Rawhyun, Eunho, and Seungwon.

Each member brings a unique flavor to the group — from powerhouse vocals to intricate rap verses, and from main-stage charisma to behind-the-scenes songwriting and production skills. NTX’s journey so far has been a steady climb marked by strong releases and a growing international fanbase.

In an interview held in Makati City on Aug. 15, the group shared their experiences, revealing that they had spent the past six days immersed in the vibrant life of Manila.

“It’s very humid in Manila,” a member of the group said. However, they stated that they have adjusted to staying in the country where people are friendly and warm.

Yunhyeok, leader and vocalist of the group, also said they have tried popular Filipino food such as lechon (roasted pork), mangoes, pomelos, and pork sinigang (pork sour broth).

The group, which spoke through an interpreter, said they have already shot the English version for their music video "Over N Over."

They have also done press interviews. "It's a bit tiring, but it's an honor to be here in the Philippines for the first time," said Yunhyeok.

In the same interview, members of the group quickly learned basic Tagalog words and phrases. Among the words they have learned are Gwapo ka (You are handsome), Maganda ka (You are beautiful), and Bongga! (pompous), Handa na ba kayo? (Are you ready), Kumusta po kayo? (How are you?), Mabuhay (Long live!), Pogi ako (I am handsome), and Mahal ko kayo (I love you).

The group eagerly exchanged insights about their collaborative dynamics, painting a picture of how they interact and support one another in their tasks.

"We critique our style and choreography. We start with writing songs. We all have opinions, but what I like about our members is that they give respect to what I write. I acknowledge their views, but they do not hinder me from pouring out my creative juice. Xiha and Yunhyeok are involved in the choreography process. We share our opinions without hindering one another," said Rawhyun, also producer of the group.

Yunhyeok added, "We respect one another."

The group recounted the story of how NTX came into existence, weaving together tales of inspiration and collaboration that led to its formation.

"Some of the members underwent auditions. Some of them started seven to eight years ago, including how they practised. But in this batch, the average is about six years. We are like brothers now," said Yunhyeok. "We always fight, but we're family."

On what makes the group stand out, Hyeongjin, lead vocalist, said: "On stage, we are charismatic and powerful, but off-stage, we can be playful."

Yunhyeok also assured fans that the group performs live 100 percent.

In March 2025, they dropped their second full-length album Over Track, led by the irresistibly catchy single “Over N Over.” The track quickly drew attention for its addictive chorus and polished production, with some songs co-created alongside producers from YG Entertainment — a collaboration that further elevated their artistry.

This new album followed the success of their mini-albums Hold X (2024) and Odd Hour (2023), which showcased their versatility, blending upbeat anthems with emotional ballads.

NTX’s debut full-length project, Full of Lovescapes, introduced them as a group that could balance high-energy performances with sincerity in their storytelling.

Critics and fans alike have praised NTX not only for their music but also for their dedication to performances. Whether on television stages, fan meetings, or international showcases, the group is known for its precision in choreography, its strong stage presence, and the emotional connection it creates with audiences.

As K-pop continues to dominate global music charts, NTX is positioning itself as the genre’s next breakthrough act. Their growing popularity in Japan, Southeast Asia, and other international markets points to a bright future, and the Philippines — with its vibrant fan culture — is a natural next step in their global outreach.
