Organizers have announced the nominees for the 2025 ContentAsia Awards, recognizing video content and talent across multiple platforms in Asia.

Winners of the 2025 ContentAsia Awards will be announced at an event in Taipei on Sept. 4. with AXN returning as broadcast and red carpet partner.

This year’s event includes the first Viewers’ Choice Awards, which will go live in the middle of August.

“The ContentAsia Awards have always sparked huge fan engagement online. With the launch of the Viewers’ Choice Awards, we’re putting additional power directly in the hands of audiences around the world. For the first time, non-industry viewers have an official vote – bringing a dynamic consumer voice into the spotlight and reshaping how we celebrate Asia’s finest content,” said ContentAsia Awards president, Janine Stein.

The inaugural ContentAsia Viewers’ Choice Awards are supported by Celestial Tiger Entertainment/CMGO for Best Movie Made in Asia and Best Drama Series Made in Asia for a Regional or International Market; and by Rewind Networks for the Best Actor Awards.

The 2025 ContentAsia Awards will recognize Asia’s best video content in 28 categories. The two new categories this year are Best Micro-Drama Series Made in Asia and Best Book-to-TV Adaptation Made in Asia.

A total of 511 entries from 13 countries and territories in Asia were submitted for the ContentAsia Awards this year, a record for the six-year-old event.

The nominees were chosen by 99 jury members, hand-picked from across industry sectors in Asia and around the world.

“We increased the number of Jury Members by 29 percent to reflect the growing diversity of Asia’s content landscape and to ensure broader regional representation across all categories. The expansion also brings in fresh perspectives from emerging platforms, new markets, and evolving formats – strengthening the depth and balance of the judging process,” said Stein.

She added, “Asia’s production industry continues to face significant challenges, shaped by global shifts impacting creators everywhere. And yet, the quality of original content across the region keeps rising, driven by producers and storytellers who remain deeply committed to honing their skills and to serving more diverse audiences, and to platforms that, despite challenges of their own, continue to support authentic Asian stories.
