Barber stabbed by customer with kitchen knife in Quezon City
A 43-year-old barber was stabbed by a customer with a kitchen knife inside his barbershop in Barangay Pasong Tamo, Quezon City, on Monday, August 4, allegedly over dissatisfaction with a haircut.
According to the police report, the attack occurred at around 12:09 p.m. along Diego Silang Street where the suspect had just finished getting a haircut. Thirty minutes after leaving the shop, he returned and stabbed the barber with a kitchen knife before fleeing the scene.
The victim was rushed to the Quezon City General Hospital for medical treatment.
On Tuesday, August 5, the victim's wife called the 911 emergency hotline, which prompted continued efforts that led to the arrest of the suspect.

The suspect was arrested around 1:57 p.m. and was identified as alias “Eljimm”, 27, a resident of Barangay Pasong Taco.
A background check via the Investigation Solution Automatic Verification (ISAV) system revealed that the suspect had a prior case of murder in 2022.
A complaint for attempted murder is being prepared for filing before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
