The party list group Ang Bumbero ng Pilipinas (ABP) is offering a P1 million cash reward for any information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects behind the brutal killing of Leninsky “Bogs” Bacud, ABP’s third nominee, who was shot dead on April 28 along P. Guevarra Street, Barangay 435, Sampaloc, Manila.
In a public statement, ABP strongly condemned the murder, describing it as a deliberate and violent attack on a dedicated public servant.
“This was not just a senseless killing. This was a direct attack on someone who gave his life to serving the public,” ABP said.
“We owe it to Chief Lenin, his family, and the people he served to bring those responsible to justice.”
Authorities have identified the suspects as Arnold “Ford” Glean Umandap and Joshua Hernandez Andaleon.
On July 30, the Regional Trial Court Branch 33 in Manila issued a non-bailable warrant of arrest against both individuals.
The Manila Police District and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group are currently conducting an active manhunt.
All search and arrest operations are to be documented using body-worn cameras.
According to investigators, Arnold Umandap, also known as Ford Glean Umandap, was last known to reside at 47 Ruiz Street, Eastern NCR.
He is reportedly the leader of a rival group that has falsely claimed to represent ABP.
Police said Joshua Andaleon, whose last known address is Pantihan I, Balayungan, Maragondon, Cavite, was allegedly one of the armed men on the motorcycle during the deadly ambush.
Authorities are looking into political motives as a possible reason for the killing.
“We are calling on the public. If you have seen these men or know anything about others involved, speak up,” ABP urged. “Your tip could be the key to delivering justice.”
The group emphasized that the P1 million reward is available to anyone who can provide verified and actionable information.
All reports will be handled with strict confidentiality to protect informants.
Those with relevant information are encouraged to contact the authorities through the following official numbers:
-PNP Hotline: 117
-CIDG Hotline: 0951 059 3843
ABP vowed that it will not rest until justice is served.
“This is a fight for truth, justice, and for the soul of our movement,” ABP stated. “Let it be known. We will pursue these killers and their cohorts wherever they may hide. They can run, but we will not stop until the law catches up with them.”
