Over the years, Clark has become a rising star in being the new go-to entry point to the Philippines. More flights have opened up for the area as local and foreign investors see the location’s potential. To accommodate the surge of travelers, numerous establishments have popped up over the years to deal with the demand. Among the earliest to do so was Hann Resorts.

It was back in 2006 when Hann Resorts chairman and founder Dae Sik Han first saw potential in Clark, starting with the Widus Hotel and Casino. Through many developments over the years, Hann Resorts expanded to take over 11 hectares containing 800 luxury rooms, numerous gaming facilities, and 18 restaurants. It shares its space with high-class hotels, the Clark Marriott and Swissôtel Clark. Among its latest additions is the 8th Avenue Lifestyle Mall to meet your luxury shopping needs. This is also just the start, as Hann Reserve is set to be a new golfing hot spot in New Clark City in the coming years.

For our visit, we stayed at the Swissôtel Clark. It’s a refreshing refuge that makes you feel pampered throughout your stay. Glancing out the window gives a view of the hotel’s pool and the traffic-free (at least during our stay) roads. There are eight different variations of rooms you can book at Swissôtel Clark, with the Premium Room being enough to make you feel taken care of. Meanwhile, its neighbor, the Clark Marriott, offers just as many room variations to pick and choose from. As with all Marriott hotels, you can opt for a room that grants access to the M Club, an exclusive lounge that offers a quiet space to relax, get work done, and, for this particular branch, express yourself through art.

Finding a meal is easy, as the only question you’ll have to answer is what you’re craving. A personal favorite is the Ristorante di Verona. It provides a taste of Italy that sends your taste buds dancing with joy. We spent a good amount of time having conversations while enjoying the cheese offerings and pizza. Another standout is the Korean restaurant Smoki Moto, where you can enjoy meat fresh from the grill. Pick a table with a view so you can glance over now and then to marvel at the beautiful mountain range view. The drinks are also a must-try. After filling up on good food, we recommend capping off the night with a visit to the Pürovel Spa for those staying at Swissôtel Clark or Quan Spa if you’re staying at Clark Marriott. A full-body massage is enough to send you off for a relaxing night of slumber in your room.
