PCG member hurt as motorcycle collides with 2 vehicles in Manila

A Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) member was injured when his motorcycle caught fire following a collision with two vehicles on Sunday evening, June 1, along the northbound lane of Roxas Boulevard near UN Avenue in Ermita, Manila.
The accident took place around 11:45 p.m. in front of the Bay View Park Hotel, involving a motorcycle, a Toyota Innova, and a Mitsubishi Xpander.
Upon impact, the motorcycle caught fire.
Police said the Toyota Innova was driven by 46-year-old Telly Masilag Lucas, a resident of Paco, Manila, and the Mitsubishi Xpander by 47-year-old seafarer Waldemar De Ocampo of Imus, Cavite. Both drivers were unharmed.
All three vehicles sustained damage, though the exact cost remains undetermined.
MDTEU is conducting further investigations to establish liability and contributing factors in the accident.
