Las Pinas Programang Pang-Nutrisyon serves 700 children with nutritious meal
The Las Pinas City Nutrition Office continued its citywide feeding efforts through the “Programang Pang-Nutrisyon para sa Las Pineros”, feeding around 700 children with delicious pork picadillo rice toppings and bottled water.
Las Pinas City newly elected Mayor April Aguilar said the event was held at the St. Mary Homes covered court in Almanza Uno aimed to provide accessible and healthy meals for children this school break to help sustain their nutritional needs.
Aguilar joined volunteers and staff from City Nutrition Office in the distribution of pork picadillo rice toppings and bottled water to ensure the orderly distribution of food in assistance of community leaders and local personnel.
She also took time to have conversation with the children and their families while feeding program was on going.
The presence of mayor-elect in the activity reflects her administration’s continued support for grassroots nutrition initiatives and direct community outreach.
Aguilar also said the Programang Pang-Nutrisyon para sa Las Piñeros remains a core component of the city’s public health strategy, aiming to reach more communities in need and support child health and well-being.
