SPD nabbed HVI with P340K of shabu in Pasay City

A high-value individual wanted for illegal drugs was arrested after yielding P340,000 worth of shabu in Pasay City.

Officers in the Southern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit (SPD-DEU) arrested a construction worker in possession of P340,000 worth of drugs during the conduct of a buy-bust operation in Pasay City on Monday, May 26.

The SPD said the suspect identified as alias John Brian, 36, and tagged as high-value-individual, was arrested at around 12:45 a.m. along Buendia Road, Barangay 9, Pasay City.

The SPD-DEU operatives conducted a buy-bust for the arrest of John Brian after receiving reports of the suspect's illegal drug activities.

The police were able to confiscate from the suspect 50 grams of shabu, amounting to P340,000, the buy-bust money, and a cellphone.

He was brought to the SPD-DEU custodial facility after his arrest and charged for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
