Carol shared the news with followers on social media, reflecting on the long journey that led to this moment.

Her nursing career began quietly in 2005, when she became a certified nurse aide in Arizona. Over the years, she steadily pursued further qualifications—earning her licensed practical nurse certificate in 2010, completing her associate degree in nursing in 2018, and finishing her bachelor’s degree in 2020.
It was after this that she took the next step: a master’s degree, a demanding pursuit under any circumstances. But for Carol, the timing made it even more challenging.
“When I began my master’s degree, the world was shutting down. The pandemic had just begun, and I was pregnant with Bella,” she shared, referring to her youngest child.
The months that followed were marked by quiet determination.
“Balancing pregnancy, parenting, and a rigorous academic program during such uncertain times was far from easy. There were sleepless nights, long study sessions, missed gatherings, and so many moments where I had to say, ‘not now, I have to study,’” she recalled.
“There were also moments of doubt, exhaustion, and wondering if I could really keep going. But the dream was stronger—and I just kept going.”
She credited her family for helping her persevere through the difficult days, especially her husband.
“Thank you for working so hard behind the scenes so I could focus fully on my studies. Your love, encouragement, and sacrifices made this possible,” she said.
To her children—Chelsea, River, and Bella—she expressed gratitude for their understanding.
“Thank you for your patience and for all the times you understood when mommy had to study instead of play… Your hugs and kisses were everything.”
She also thanked her mother for her prayers, encouragement, and for stepping in to help with childcare during her studies.
