- The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) expressed concern as it did not have immediate access to the election returns that were already transmitted to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) an hour after the polls closed.
It is "quite unusual" and has not happened since 2010 that the parish-based movement did not immediately have access to the election data that Comelec had already received, Ana de Villa-Singson, PPCRV spokesperson, said in a press conference.
As of 8:30 p.m. of Monday, Singson said, 34.48 percent or 1/3 of the country's election returns were already transmitted to the poll body.
"The sad news is we have not had any access to the data. So it is of concern to us," Singson announced.
"We have been in constant touch with Comelec. We have not received a response," she added.
Singson said PPCRV is demanding urgent action from the poll body, as it wants to have an eye on the results.
