Seeking her 3rd term, Mayor Joy Belmonte cast her vote at Christ the King covered court in Quezon City on Monday, May 12.
Belmonte arrived at the polling precinct accompanied by her husband, Raymund Alimurung.
The city mayor was able to cast her vote in less than an hour and did not encounter any problem with the automated counting machine (ACM).
Belmonte encouraged the QCitizens to pray for a peaceful election and choose their leaders wisely.
“Let’s pray for a peaceful election…let’s follow our conscience and choose leaders who we believe will bring our country forward,” she said.
Meanwhile, her running mate, incumbent Vice Mayor Mayor Gian Sotto cast his vote at Whiteplains Community Center.
Sotto was accompanied by his wife, Joy Sotto, mother, Helen Gamboa, and former Senate President Tito Sotto.
