Thirty-five lovely candidates of the Binibining Pilipinas 2025 beauty pageant spread cheer on May 6 as they visited the Manila Bulletin main office in Intramuros.
For many years, the Manila Bulletin has been the media partner for the Binibining Pilipinas beauty pageant, presenting the Manila Bulletin Readers' Choice Award during the finals.
Welcomed by the warm hospitality and vibrant atmosphere of Manila Bulletin employees, the candidates toured the main office, admiring the paintings, sculptures, and various magazines on display.
Badette Cunanan, the Manila Bulletin's public relations manager, led the tour. The candidates then proceeded to the newsroom to meet some of the editors, graphic artists, and news reporters.

The ladies were presented with a brief presentation on Manila Bulletin's election campaign called "Matalinong Boto" and the history of the longest-running newspaper company.

After taking several selfies and enjoying delicious afternoon snacks, a few Binibinis explained why they decided to join this prestigious event and shared the rewarding experience of becoming a beauty queen.

Bb. 1 Jeanette Reyes (Batangas City)"As cliche as it may sound, I joined Binibining Pilipinas because it's a dream of mine, I remember when I was eight years old I was with my mom and dad watching Binibining Pilipinas live and I told myself in that moment that I'm gonna be on the stage and now, I'm so happy that I'm finally living that dream."

Bb. 36  Dalia Varde Khattab (Las Pinas)"The reason why I joined is because, for the longest time, I thought I was happy in show business. What if I explore myself a little bit more, especially in pageantry, because a lot of people have pushed me to try in show business? I also want to showcase how, the beauty of storytelling and how much it can touch people's hearts by sharing different stories about characters that I've maybe even played, and different perspectives that I've learned throughout. And Binibining Pilipinas is the perfect platform for that."

Bb. 7 Annabelle Mae Mc Donnell (Iligan City)

"I decided to join Binibining Pilipinas because I want to test the limits of what I have. I want to unlock the potential I think I have yet to give. And I do want to represent the country to the best of my ability in the future."

Bb. 23 Joanna Francez Batalang  (Ilocos Sur)

"When I was young, my father and I would watch Binibining Pilipinas together. So I felt like I wanted to enter this as an ode to my father. I wanted to represent my province nationally because it has been six years since we last participated in Binibining Pilipinas.  And I'm so happy that after six years, I can finally be the sixth candidate in my province as well."

Bb. 27 Jemille R. Zosa (Mandaluyong City)

"So for me, I wanted to continue my family's legacy, for I am the third generation to join Binibining Pilipinas, following the footsteps of my grandmother, Benigna Rustia, who won second runner-up in 1968. My mother joined and represented Makati City in 1995."

Bb. 9 Jenesse Viktoria Mejia (Pangasinan)

"As cliche as it sounds, we're not just beautiful, but it's a platform for change. You know, if you don't go to politics or run for a position, you're here to tell your vision and mission, especially for those who might need it the most."

Bb. 18 Kathleen Enid Espenido (Siargao)

"I think that the very rewarding thing talaga is how we and I inspire people. Whenever we see kids look up to us, that's a nice feeling. And of course, when a queen speaks, everyone listens. And if you use that in good use then that would be truly amazing"

Bb. 25 Katrina Anne C. Johnson (Davao Province)

"I had the opportunity to go around the entire Philippines and do outreach programs and get to know like actual people and learn from them and be inspired (6:14) and be so humble. So I think that is probably the most rewarding. And also when you're with women who have excelled in their various fields, every single day for how many months, it pushes you to want to be a better version of yourself. So I would say both internally, while you're a candidate, and also while you're a reigning queen, it's rewarding on both sides."

Bb. 34 Patricia Layug (Bataan)

"The most rewarding part is the platform that we are now on. We are standing here at the Binibining Pilipinas stage. It is such a powerful and meaningful platform for us to raise, for the advocates that we have, and to be an inspiration and serve as an inspiration, especially to the generations today."

Bb. 14 Devine May Torres (Zamboanga Del Sur)

"The most rewarding part would be how you can inspire many people because every Binibini here has so many stories to tell. And for sure, many people can learn from us and apply it to their daily lives."
