Metro Manila policemen seized around P2.8 million worth of high grade marijuana in a buy-bust that also led to the discovery of a suspected illegal drugs hub in Pateros on Saturday, May 10.
Police Maj. Gen. Anthony A. Aberin, director of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), said the 23-year old arrested suspect is a newly identified high-value drug personality.
He said the suspect yielded two kilos of marijuana kush after his arrest for selling a sachet of marijuana to a poseur buyer in Barangay Sta. Ana.
“This single raid exposed not only a concealed drug hub but also an active local supplier intent on saturating Metro Manila’s streets with cannabis products,” said Aberin.
He said criminal complaints for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 are now being finalized for inquest.
