As she settles into Telangana, India for the 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant, 24-year-old Krishnah Marie Gravidez— the Philippines' official candidate—brings with her not just gowns and grit, but invaluable advice from two of the country’s top beauty queens: Megan Young, the only Filipina to win the Miss World crown in 2013, and Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo.
Krishnah fondly recalled how starstruck she felt meeting Megan for the first time shortly after being crowned Miss World Philippines 2024. She was so excited that she prepared a list of questions, particularly about the pageant’s fast-track challenges.
As for Rabiya, Krishnah admitted that the Kapuso actress has been one of her greatest inspirations in her pageant journey.
"When she joined her national pageant, I was rooting for her because I know her story, her background, how she loves her mom, and how she supported her family," Krishnah stated.
When it was Krishnah's turn to become Miss World Philippines, she said she was fortunate to receive lots of advice from Rabiya. "As someone who idolized and admired a queen like that, it's very sweet to think that there are beauty queens like Rabiya who helped me in my preparations, so thank you so much, Ate," she remarked.
Meanwhile, Miss World Philippines National Director Arnold Vegafria expressed confidence that Krishnah will bring home the second Miss World crown for the Philippines "because of all her hard work and preparations."
Krishnah shared that "Beauty with a Purpose" is the segment she prepared for the most in Most World. This fast-track challenge evaluates a contestant’s dedication to charitable causes.

"All of us are youth. Most of us are working students. We've partnered with a lot of organizations that promote youth empowerment, education, and animal welfare. During the Panagbanga Festival last year, we fundraised almost 200,000 pesos in one event by selling clothes, and right now, I can proudly say that we've helped rebuild and repaint seven daycare centers in Baguio City. We've provided small business packages for mothers. We could also completely renovate the home of a single mother raising three beautiful children. Happy to say that now, these children have a comfortable space," she said.
Miss World 2025 will be held at HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad, Telangana, India, on May 31, with 109 contestants worldwide.
