Trabaho Party-list--which is vying for seats in the House of Representatives in next week's mid-term polls--has vowed to champion workplace diversity, equality, and inclusion, especially for members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

“Trabaho aims to help extend inclusive hiring and benefits and workplace gender sensitivity training practices beyond large corporations and into MSMEs (micro, small, and medium enterprises) and government workplaces,” party-list spokesperson, lawyer Mitchell-David Espiritu said on Tuesday, May 6.

Espiritu emphasized the group's goal to create a society without oppression and discrimination, and actively promote the aspirations of women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), ethnic minorities, and LGBTQIA+ Filipinos.

He says the party-list's stance is aligned with growing national and global calls for workplace equity and rights-based labor practices.

Espiritu also cited a May 2024 report revealing that a majority of Philippine companies now have LGBTQ-inclusive policies in place. He says this indicates a shift toward more inclusive corporate cultures across the country.

In a recent sortie in Caloocan, Trabaho first nominee, lawyer Johanne Bautista also vowed inclusivity for women, senior citizens, PWDs, and members of the minority, such as the LGBTQIA+ community.

Pulse Asia Research, Inc. recently released the results of its survey conducted from April 20 to 24, 2025, which showed that Trabaho Party-list was projected to win a seat in the House of Representatives.

The midterm polls will be held on Monday, May 12.
