Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano was recognized as “Local Chief Executive of the Year” during the 2025 Nation Builders and MOSLIV Gala Awards held at the Grand Ballroom in Okada Manila on Friday, March 21.
Rubiano was cited for her sustainable projects and contribution to nation-building and development.
The MOSLIV Awards—short for "Most Sustainable and Liveable"—aims to rally Filipinos to contribute to the global pursuit of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), fostering resilience, equity, and climate neutrality.
The award covers various fields including education, healthcare, community service, and innovation
“This award is a testament that education, modernization, and innovation (EMI) really do come hand in hand with overall, wide scale progress. On our road to being the first smart and sustainable EcoCity, this is a welcome reminder of where we are and where we want to be,” Rubiano said.
Other awardees include former Senator Leila De Lima, Rep. Eric Go Yap of Benguet Province, and Rep. Gustavo S. Tambunting of Parañaque.
The event was graced by Sen. Shelly V. Calvo of the 38th Guam Legislature, the first Filipino-American senator elected in Guam, who served as the event's Guest of Honor and speaker.
