2 Chinese arrested for alarm and scandal, other crimes in Pasay City

Two Chinese nationals were arrested for alarm and scandal and for illegal possession of drugs, firearm, and bladed weapon by members of the Pasay City Police Substation 10 on Feb. 21.

 

Pasay City Police Chief Col. Samuel Pabonita identified the suspects as alias  “Song Haoyo,” and alias “Shin.” They were arrested at Unit 627, Shore I Residences Tower B, Barangay 76, Pasay City.

 

Pabonita said the arrest of the suspects came after a roving security guard identified as alias “Elmer” heard gunshots coming from the said unit that prompted him to alert his fellow security guard who called and requested for police assistance.

 

He said upon arrival of the Substation 10 personnel, they found the suspects hurriedly leaving and cornered them at the second floor of the building.

 

The city police chief said the suspects voluntary surrendered to the police a kitchen knife and a sling bag containing a glass tube pipe with traces of suspected shabu; one.45 caliber pistol; one magazine; 30 pieces of ammunitions; four empty shells and three cellular phones.

 

Pabonita said the suspects were detained at the Pasay City Police custodial facility and were charged for violations of Alarm and Scandals; of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, RA 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunition) in relation to RA 7166 (Omnibus Election Code) and Batas Pambansa Bilang 6 or illegal possession of bladed weapon.
