ILOILO CITY – Officials from Papua New Guinea recently visited Iloilo to learn the province's best practices.

Iloilo Provincial Administrator Raul Banias met the delegates led by Secretary Philip Leo of the Department of Provincial and Local Government Affairs.
Banias said the provincial government conducted a briefing on the various programs under the administration of Gov. Arthur “Toto” Defensor Jr.
Among the key programs presented to the Papua New Guinea officials were the implementation of community driven development, climate change adaptation, and disaster risk reduction and resiliency.
The delegation visited the Leganes Integrated Katunggan Eco Park (LIKE) in Barangay Gua-an, Leganes town.
They also discussed community engagement and partnership building.
The Papua New Guinea officials were accompanied by World Bank officials and representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
