Provincial and tourism officials led the unveiling of this year’s theme “The Future Unfolds” at the Provincial Capitol and Lagoon.
Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, in his message, said that over the years, Panaad sa Negros is more than just a festival, but a symbol of heritage, a showcase of the resilience of the Negrenses, and a testament of shared aspirations.
“Last year, we embraced living the promise, this year, we move forward to the future unfolding – a future shaped by our unity and rich cultures and unwavering commitment to progress and one another,” Lacson said.
Lacson said that this festival gathers every town and city, bringing the best traditions, products, and stories that define Negrenses now.
“Let us embrace this opportunity to showcase the best of Negros Occidental and the Negrenses, and enrich the Panaad historical landscape as the festival of all festivals of the province and create lasting memories for both present and future generations,” the governor said.
With just a few weeks before the much-anticipated festivity, Lacson thanked people who worked hard in staging this year’s event.
“Let us look ahead with hope and determination as we unfold the future filled with endless possibilities for the province and the Negrenses,” he said.
