Sugarpop members reunite at Vanessa Blanca's wake

Former Sugarpop members Julie Anne San Jose, Rita Daniela, Enzo Almario, and Cholo Bismonte reunited at the wake of their late groupmate Vanessa Blanca.

Julie shared photos of the group at Vanessa’s wake on her Instagram Stories.

They are seen holding a framed photo of the late singer.

“Mahal na mahal ka namin, Wani,” Julie wrote in the reposted tribute.

The reunion comes as the former child stars mourn Blanca, whose death was announced by her cousin Ivy Ann Salaum Jubelag in a Facebook post last month.

According to Jubelag, Blanca sustained a severe traumatic brain injury that resulted in an internal brain hemorrhage following an accidental fall.

Sugarpop was a popular singing group formed through GMA Network’s youth-oriented programs. The group was composed of Julie, Rita, Vanessa, Enzo, and other young performers.

The gathering comes after Julie previously recalled plans for a possible Sugarpop reunion.
