Parenthood has apparently changed the way Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano look at bikini photos on social media.

Jessy revealed that she has toned down her own bikini and swimsuit posts since becoming Luis’ wife and the mother of their daughter.

The actress talked about the change during Luis’ latest vlog, saying she now wants to set a good example for their child.

“I don’t know if people have noticed, dati kasi, ‘di ba, ako rin naman, nagpo-post ng mga bikini, ng mga swimsuit, ganyan-ganyan, or ng mga sexy posts.

“But ever since I became a wife and a mother, I kind of toned it down a bit,” Jessy said.

She stressed that she has nothing against women who post sexy photos. For her, however, becoming a mother made her want to establish certain boundaries for herself.

“I mean, I still appreciate others na ginagawa ‘yon. I have nothing against it. But personally, as a mom, I want to be a good role model for my daughter,” she said.

Jessy also noticed that Luis had made a similar adjustment.

She recalled how, when they were still dating, she would wonder why her then-boyfriend followed so many women who posted bikini photos.

“Dati talaga, nagugulat ako, ‘Bakit ang daming pina-follow nito na naka-bikini?’” Jessy recalled.

Apparently, Luis eventually came to the same conclusion after they got married.

“Na-realize niya na hindi na rin siya appropriate ngayon, kasi nga mag-asawa na kami,” she said.

Jessy made clear, many of the women Luis followed were his actual friends.

“Sinasabi niya sa ‘kin, ‘Imu-mute ko na lang ‘yung mga ka-close ko na mahilig mag-post ng sexy,’” she shared.

Jessy said the arrangement works for them because it gives them boundaries they both feel are appropriate for their marriage.

“Nandu’n na rin ‘yung boundaries kumbaga,” she said.

It is quite the change for the couple.

Jessy used to post the bikini photos. Luis used to follow them. Then they got married, became parents and suddenly, bikini content came with rules.

For Jessy, the shift is about being a role model for their daughter.

For Luis, apparently, there is always the mute button.
