DigiPlus unit prepares for new online gaming cash flow in partnership with IEC

DigiPlus Interactive Corp. is anticipating a second online gaming revenue stream this month when its wholly-owned subsidiary, Total Gamezone Xtreme Incorporated (TGXI), goes live with the online gaming platform of International Entertainment Corporation’s (IEC) LaVie Resort & Casino Manila (formerly New Coast Hotel Manila).
IEC subsidiary New Coast Leisure Inc. (NCLI) holds the online gaming license, while TGXI will serve as the operator and gaming system administrator.
In a regulatory filing, IEC disclosed that NCLI and TGXI agreed on a gross gaming revenue (GGR) sharing ratio of three percent for NCLI and 97 percent for TGXI. This split is subject to applicable deductions, including the PAGCOR share, gaming license fees, audit fees, foundation fees, franchise taxes, and other related charges.
Under the Online Gaming License issued by the Electronic Gaming Licensing Department (EGLD) of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), NCLI is accredited to offer Electronic Casino Games, Electronic Bingo Games, Online Poker Games, and Specialty Games.
During the initial phase of operations, NCLI and TGXI will focus on Electronic Casino Games, anchored by Electronic Games—games of chance where outcomes are generated by a certified Random Number Generator (RNG). The roster also includes Table Games (traditional casino games played without live human dealers and delivered in an electronic visual format) and Arcade Games (specialty, non-traditional electronic games featuring simple mechanics and skill- or entertainment-based gameplay). All game categories run on computer-based software approved by PAGCOR.
IEC noted that these game offerings are currently in trial runs, with NCLI and TGXI actively refining operating procedures to resolve internal control deficiencies highlighted in a recent audit report.
While NCLI owns the Online Gaming Platform (OGP), TGXI provides the computer-based software and gaming content powering the platform. TGXI owns and controls the underlying assets used to supply, aggregate, integrate, and operate the offerings. At this stage, the NCLI-TGXI partnership does not cover land-based casino games streamed online by Integrated Resorts. However, the Group plans to expand into land-based electronic gaming terminals—including Online Table Games and Online Slot Machines—in its next phase. NCLI already holds provisional licenses for these IR gaming operations.
Brokerage firm Abacus Securities Corporation observed that "industry-wide gross gaming revenues have steadied in the last two quarters despite high inflation."
However, Abacus cautioned that "significant damage to property and livelihoods due to monsoon rains in the last few weeks will likely slow discretionary spending for the third quarter," while adding, "We also see Bloomberry's entry into online gaming as a significant risk."
