Kylie Padilla enters 'collect then select' era

  • Kylie Padilla admits she has plenty of suitors these days, joking that she is finally embracing the "collect then select" approach to dating.

Kylie Padilla appears to have a problem many single women would probably be happy to have.

She has too many suitors.

And the funny part? She can’t quite believe it herself.

“Alam mo ’yung saying na ano, ‘collect then select?’ Finally, I’m doing it. At this age, nagulat din ako,” Kylie told GMA News, laughing.

Well, good for Kylie.

After years of presumably having more important things to worry about, the actress now finds herself with enough romantic prospects to apparently require a selection process.

Collect first. Select later.

It’s not exactly the most traditional dating strategy, but Kylie seems to be having fun with it.

The timing is amusing, considering that fans have recently been busy creating their own possible love stories for her.

Her chemistry with Luis Hontiveros in “Taskforce Firewall” has generated plenty of kilig among viewers, while her friendly interactions with her Korean TikTok friends have likewise inspired some fans to start shipping her with them.

Kylie, however, has made it clear that her Korean friends are just that, friends. She has asked fans not to put a romantic spin on their interactions, saying their goal is simply to entertain online followers.

Then there is Cheska Fausto, her “Taskforce Firewall” co-star, with whom fans have also developed a rather enthusiastic pairing.

The two have even joked about their chemistry, with Cheska previously saying she would be game for a Girls’ Love project with Kylie.

Kylie’s admission relating suitors comes after she previously talked about being happily single and concentrating on her children. She shares two sons with ex-husband Aljur Abrenica.

Now, however, it sounds like she’s allowing herself to look around a little.
