ENHYPEN scores first No. 1 album on Billboard 200

ENHYPEN has finally reached the top of the Billboard 200.

Nearly six years after making their debut in 2020, the K-pop boy band has scored its first No. 1 album on the prestigious U.S. chart with “The Sin : Bliss.”

According to Billboard, “The Sin : Bliss” debuted at No. 1 on the Sept. 5-dated Billboard 200.

The album earned 98,000 equivalent album units in the U.S., according to Luminate data.

Of that total, 92,000 came from album sales, while 6,000 were streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, representing 6.91 million on-demand official streams of the album’s songs. Track equivalent album (TEA) units were negligible.

The achievement marks a new high for ENHYPEN, whose previous album, “The Sin : Vanish,” reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Their 2024 album “Romance : Untold” also peaked at No. 2.

The Billboard 200 ranks the most popular albums in the United States each week based on a combination of album sales, track-equivalent albums and streaming-equivalent albums, with data compiled by Luminate.

With “The Sin : Bliss,” ENHYPEN becomes the latest K-pop act to conquer the chart.

The album is the 26th release by a K-pop artist to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 since BTS opened the door for the genre in 2018 with “Love Yourself: Tear.”

BTS was the first K-pop act to top the chart when “Love Yourself: Tear” debuted at No. 1.

Stray Kids currently hold the record for the most No. 1 albums by a K-pop act, with nine. BTS follows with seven, while ATEEZ has three.

SuperM, BLACKPINK, Tomorrow X Together, NewJeans, TWICE and ENHYPEN have each scored one No. 1 album on the Billboard 200.
