Police arrested two men who are facing charges for murder and possession of illegal drugs in Taguig.
On Aug. 29, the Taguig police’s Sub-station 7 nabbed alias Jeric, 25, in Barangay New Lower Bicutan.
The accused, listed as the Taguig police’s No. 1 most wanted person for September, was arrested during a police operation in Phase 3 of the barangay.
He was nabbed based on a warrant of arrest for murder under the Revised Penal Code with no bail recommended issued by the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 266 on Sept. 17 last year.
After the arrest, he was brought to the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital for medical examination.
In Barangay Central Signal, the Taguig police arrested alias Santos, 46, a construction worker, on Aug. 30.
Santos, the police station’s No. 6 most wanted person for September, was nabbed based on a warrant of arrest with a recommended bail of P200,000 issued on July 23 by the same court.
He is facing a case for violation of Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver Cinco, Southern Police District director, lauded the Taguig police for the two operations.
