After making headlines being seen together with Elijah Canlas, Thea Astley was accused by fans as to causing his breakup with Miles Ocampo. 

Thea was silent about it until she appeared on "Trggrd."

She admitted she was aware of the rumors.

"I think it was on our second or third day. We already saw na parang there was a video circulating, but we didn’t really think much of it at first until we got back sa Manila. And then, we saw how viral it had gotten and parang lumaki na siya nang lumaki,” Thea said.

Holding back her tears, Thea explained that the photo or video circulating online was taken out of context.

"Pag ‘yung screenshots lang talaga ‘yung tinignan mo, mapapaisip ka talaga that Jelo (Elijah) was like holding my hand or something like that," she said.

The actress went on to clarify there is nothing remotely romantic with his closeness to Elijah. 

"Elijah and I are friends. Like we’ve been friends for years now at this point, and I would never go on a trip like that if, like, alam mo ‘yun. I’ve never cheated on anyone. I’ve never been the third party in any relationship to my knowledge,” she added.

Thea added that she understands why fans are quick to blame her for Elijah and Miles' split.

"Nakita nila paano nag-blossom ‘yung relationship ng dalawa through the years and then to suddenly parang I here I come na parang threat to that bond," she said.

"I would never do that to another girl. I know what that’s like. I know what that feeling is like. I would never ever willingly come between a relationship. Never. I would never do that," she concluded.
