First Lady Liza to welcome ASEAN fellow first ladies in November in Manila

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos will welcome her fellow first ladies from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in November, saying preparations are on track.
The First Lady said preparations for the upcoming Spouses’ Tour are ongoing and have so far received positive feedback.
In a Facebook post, she said the National Organizing Council (NOC) and other ASEAN representatives met for a "productive briefing" at Likha ng Filipino in Pasay City on Wednesday, Aug. 28.
"Productive briefing with the NOC nd the other ASEAN country representatives during their walk through for the upcoming Spouses' Tour at Likha ng Filipino," the First Lady said in a Facebook post on Sunday, Aug. 30.
"Thrilled to hear their positive feedback on our detailed preparations — and even more excited to welcome our ASEAN First Ladies this November," the First Lady added.
According to program shared by the First Lady, folk dances from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be showcased during the spouses' tour.
Filipino arts and crafts such as traditional arts, fashion, textile, accessories, furniture and lighting, home, gifts, and holiday decor will also be showcased during the gallery tour.
The First Lady also showcased Filipino culture and hospitality to the ASEAN leaders' spouses on the sidelines of the 48th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Cebu in May.
The Philippines is this year's ASEAN chair.
