Navotas gov't tightens cybersecurity over possible threat

The Navotas City government has tightened its cybersecurity measures after receiving information about a possible threat that may affect its systems.

In a statement on Saturday, Aug. 29, the city government said it is still verifying the information and has already implemented precautionary measures.
The city's cybersecurity team is also closely monitoring the city’s systems to ensure that they remain secure and protected.
The local government said safeguarding city data, particularly the personal information of residents, remains its top priority.
It has yet to disclose the nature of the possible threat or whether any system or data has been affected.
The city government said it will release verified updates when necessary and advised the public to rely only on information from its official channels.
