Minor accused of statutory rape arrested in Quezon

SARIAYA, Quezon- A minor accused of committing statutory rape was arrested on Friday afternoon in Barangay Manggalang Tulo-tulo, here, Aug. 28.
Police withheld the name of the accused as he was considered a child in conflict with the law (CICL).
Sariaya police warrant section operatives arrested him at about 5:30 p.m. pursuant to an order to take custody for the said crime.
The order was issued by Presiding Judge Patricia Angeles Reyes Cataquiz-Fidel of the Family Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 16, Sariaya, Quezon, with bail recommended at P200,000.
He is now under the temporary custody of the Sariaya police and will be turned over to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office for proper disposition.
