Manila puts city hospitals on Code White alert

The Manila City government placed all public hospitals under Code White alert on Saturday, Aug. 29, as heavy rains swept the city.
The alert puts medical personnel, emergency response teams, and operation centers on 24/7 standby for possible emergencies.
The city-run hospitals include Gat Andres Bonifacio Medical Center, Ospital ng Tondo, Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital, Mayor Ramon Bagatsing General Hospital (formerly known as Ospital ng Sampaloc), Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center, and Sta. Ana Hospital.
Code White was declared as Metro Manila remained under a Red Rainfall Warning due to the heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon. (Shane Quiachon)
