Angono LGU recognizes the residents' achievements

The municipal government of Angono, known also as the Art Capital of the Country, has recognized the achievements of the residents in various fields as part of the celebration of the 88th anniversary of the town's independence. 
During the recent Gawad Punong Bayan 2026 awarding ceremony held at the Angono Gym, Mayor Gerardo Calderon cited the residents who were recipient of various awards in their own area of specialization.

In arts, the Gawad Punong Bayan 2026 recipients were:
1. Maria Celestine M. Blanco – National Grand Prize Winner Supreme Court’s 125th Anniversary Nationwide Poster Making Contest - Barangay San Vicente
2. Jose Pablo M. Blanco – Top 20 Finalist in the Nationwide Yamang Kalawakan Poster Making Contest, organized by the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA). Out of nearly 300 entries across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao in the 6-to-12 age bracket
3. Julian Andrei O. Garme – Finalist in the West Philippine Sea Mural Festival 2026, held at the National Library of the Philippines on July 7, 2026, with the mural located along Manuel L. Quezon Extension, Angono, Rizal (Phase 3 Mahabang Parang)
