PH productions, stars shine at 2026 ContentAsia Awards

Philippine television and streaming productions emerged among the notable winners at the 2026 ContentAsia Awards, with GMA Network and ABS-CBN Studios taking home gold, silver and bronze honors across several categories.
GMA Network’s “Broken Roads, Broken Promises” led the Philippine winners, securing the gold award for Best Factual Entertainment Programme Made in Asia for a Single Asia Market.
The network also earned a bronze for “Corruption Series: A Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho Special Report,” which competed in the Best Current Affairs Programme Made in Asia for a Single Market in Asia category.
ABS-CBN Studios likewise picked up multiple awards. Its adaptation of “It’s Okay To Not Be Okay” won silver for Best TV Format Adaptation (Scripted) in Asia, while “Call Me Mother” received silver for Best Feature Film or Telemovie Made in Asia.
Actress Angelica Panganiban added another Philippine win, taking home bronze for Best Female Lead in a TV Programme/Series Made in Asia for her performance in Prime Video and ABS-CBN Studios’ “The Silent Noise.”
The Philippine wins were part of a wider celebration of Asian television and streaming content, with winners coming from 11 countries and regions representing broadcasters, production companies, streamers and online platforms.
Hosted by Thai-American actress and model Cindy Bishop, the 2026 awards ceremony brought together members of Asia’s entertainment industry and was streamed live on Facebook.
More than 180 programs were nominated across 35 categories this year. Awards in each category were presented in gold, silver and bronze tiers.
ContentAsia Awards President Janine Stein said the quality of original productions in the region continues to improve despite challenges facing the global entertainment industry.
“The quality of Asia’s original production continues to go from strength to strength,” Stein said, adding that producers, storytellers and platforms remain committed to developing their creative voices through authentic Asian stories across different genres and formats.
“We are honored to be able to recognize and shine a spotlight on the amazing talent and works that we have in Asia,” she added.
