Members of K-pop group The Boyz are branching out into solo careers, with several members signing with different agencies to pursue individual activities as actors and singers.
While The Boyz will continue their group activities, each member will now have a separate agency handling their solo projects.
Hyunjae has signed with Management Seesun and will pursue acting under his real name, Lee Jae-hyun.
“We will provide full support to ensure Lee Jae-hyun, who is making a new start as an actor, can fully unleash his potential and possibilities,” Management Seesun said. The agency added that it would work with him to ensure he can continue showcasing the skills he has developed as The Boyz member Hyunjae.
Juyeon, meanwhile, has signed with Ace Factory and will also begin his career as an actor.
“We ask for your support for Juyeon as he embarks on a new journey with Ace Factory,” the agency said.
Other members have already found agencies for their individual activities.
The new set-up follows a dispute with their former agency, One Hundred Label.
A court subsequently granted The Boyz’s application for an injunction suspending the validity of their contracts.
