GEN. NAKAR, Quezon — Eight alleged drug users voluntarily surrendered to authorities in Barangay Pisa on Wednesday, Aug. 26.
Police identified them as Ore, 36; Jomer, 41; Eson, 32; Padi, 39; Imat, 32; Aji, 27; Ewin, 23; and Noli, 57, all residents of the barangay.
Mayor Alfredo Pujeda and local police facilitated the surrender around 5 p.m.
They admitted using illegal drugs and agreed to undergo assessment, intervention, and testing.
Police said the surrender was made freely and without coercion.
Barangay officials were tapped for monitoring and assistance, while documentation was referred to concerned government agencies for appropriate action.
