Russo Brothers say 'Avengers Endgame: Encore' an essential watch before 'Doomsday'

After "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" completely crushed it at the box office, wowing millions of fans in the process, people are now impatiently awaiting the arrival of "Avengers: Doomsday."
Ahead of the Doomsday release, Marvel has decided to re-release the 2019 hit, affectionately dubbing it "Avengers Endgame: Encore."
In an interview with Fandango, Joe Russo said the re-release will connect "Endgame" directly to "Doomsday", explaining that the two films share a natural story progression.
"It connects the stories of the two movies, creating a natural progression from 'Endgame' to 'Doomsday'. It also ties together the stories that have unfolded since, making it essential viewing for understanding Doomsday," Joe said.

Meanwhile, Anthony echoed that sentiment with a more cryptic tease of his own, noting that anyone who saw ‘Endgame’ during its original 2019 run wouldn’t have seen where the story is headed next. 
Hitting theaters on Sept. 25, what sets "Encore" apart from a standard rerelease is its technical upgrades. The film has been freshly color-graded and will include four minutes of new footage, less than the seven to 10 minutes some fans expected.
