Pambansang Muziklaban returns, offers P1 million grand prize

The Pambansang Muziklaban is returning for another season, inviting Filipino bands nationwide to compete for the 2026 title.

The competition is open to Filipino bands whose members are between 21 and 45 years old.

Entries from various music genres are welcome, including metal rock, alternative rock, punk rock and reggae.

Participating bands will go through a series of screenings and eliminations before reaching the Grand Finals, where one group will emerge as the 2026 Pambansang Muziklaban Grand Champion.

This year’s winning band will receive P1 million in cash and join the roster of Pambansang Muziklaban champions, adding another chapter to the competition’s more than two-decade history of showcasing Filipino musical talent.

Pambansang Muziklaban has been running since 1999 and has become one of the country’s longest-running battle-of-the-bands competitions.

The 2025 edition ended with Tamad Si Juan of Davao emerging as grand champion.
