Malacañang welcomes Gwyn Dorado

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. welcomed Filipino singer Gwyn Dorado to Malacañang on Aug. 25, citing her achievements in South Korea.

“It was a pleasure to welcome Gwyn Dorado to Malacañang, and celebrate her incredible journey in South Korea, where she made history on ‘Sing Again 4,’” Marcos said in a Facebook post.

“Congratulations, Gwyn! Keep sharing your voice with the world. We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way,” he added.

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos also posted photos from the meeting on Facebook and described Dorado as “a young Filipina who has been sharing her gift with the world since she was just a little girl.”

“You’ve got talent, Gwyn! Keep singing, keep dreaming and keep making us proud!” she said.

Dorado, 21, is based in South Korea. She finished second in the finals of the Korean television singing competition “Sing Again 4.”

She also won first place in the Netflix singing competition “Top 6 Singers: Hit Song Wanted.”

Dorado recorded an original soundtrack for the Korean drama series “My Royal Nemesis,” which stars Lim Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-jun.
