Laborer dies by electrocution in Batangas

NASUGBU, Batangas- A 17-year-old laborer was electrocuted and fell to his death while working on the rooftop of a prefabricated house at Sitio Silangan, Barangay Balaytigue, this town on Tuesday morning. Aug. 25.
Police identified the victim as John, a resident of Barangay Bagamelon, Libmanan, Camarines Sur.
The investigation said that at about 8:30 a.m., the victim was climbing toward the rooftop of a prefabricated container house using scaffolding.
But he reportedly came into contact with an exposed wire of the extension cord of the drill machine, which caused him to fall from the scaffolding, and then hit his head on the edge of a concrete structure.
He sustained serious injuries and was taken to Jabez Medical Center, where he was declared dead on arrival by Dr. Marie Vic Casiw.
