Jetour Gaia G700 tackles three-continent expedition in reality show

Real world test for new model

The Jetour GAIA G700 has been selected as the official vehicle for the second season of Adventure of Extremes, an expedition series featuring explorer, Ed Stafford. The project takes the G700 across Ecuador’s volcanic regions, the jungles of Colombia, and the Sahara Desert. The vehicle supports Stafford and the production team as they travel through remote terrain on three continents.
It is Stafford’s first collaboration with an automotive brand. The British explorer was the first person to walk the entire length of the Amazon River and later became known for survival programs such as Marooned with Ed Stafford.
During filming, the G700 served as Stafford’s transport and base camp. Its electrical system was used to power filming equipment, while its onboard features supported basic activities such as preparing meals and brewing coffee.
“During the filming of Jetour’s Adventure of Extremes, I found that the G700 delivers outstanding off-road capability and is very practical for outdoor adventures,” said Stafford. “Whether it's brewing coffee, preparing a simple meal, or powering filming equipment, it handles everything effortlessly. The G700 is not just a vehicle for traversing treacherous terrain—it's my mobile base camp.”
Jetour presented the expedition as a real-world demonstration of the G700’s off-road ability, structural integrity, onboard technology, and powertrain durability. Filming took the vehicle through volcanic routes, jungle trails, and desert conditions.
The G700 is the flagship model of Jetour Gaia, the company’s premium electrified off-road sub-brand. Its role in the series follows the model’s “Beyond the Horizon” positioning, which focuses on long-distance travel and outdoor use.
Jetour International President, Ke Chuandeng, said Stafford’s approach to exploration reflected the intended character of the G700.
“Ed Stafford's relentless pursuit of challenges in extreme environments reflects the very spirit that defines the G700. The G700 infuses this spirit into every detail, integrating all-terrain off-road capability, premium comfort, and high-efficiency performance to unlock new possibilities for global explorers.”
Adventure of Extremes was developed by Jetour in partnership with Discovery. Short episodes from the second season began rolling out in August 2026 through Jetour’s international digital channels.
