As developments become more complex, managing technical requirements, coordinating construction teams, and maintaining standards throughout the build become increasingly important. Makati Development Corporation (MDC), the construction arm of Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI), has strengthened these capabilities across its projects, earning the Overall Winner title at the Philippine Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards (PECCA) 2026 for the second consecutive year. Park Central Towers also took top honors in the High-Rise Structures category.
The recognition reflects MDC’s focus on construction productivity, quality, safety, and technical capability. Park Central Towers, a two-tower Ayala Land Premier development in Makati’s Roxas Triangle, will represent the Philippines at the global American Concrete Institute (ACI) Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards this October.

The construction setup brought together MDC, MDBI Construction Corporation, and MDC ConQrete, Inc., covering general contracting, concrete construction, and concrete supply, respectively. With the three functions coordinated within the group, the teams were able to align work across the 72-story South Tower and 59-story North Tower while maintaining the required engineering, quality, safety, and execution standards.
The build incorporated structural solutions and construction methods aimed at improving safety and efficiency. Viscoelastic Coupling Dampers (VCDs) helped the towers withstand seismic and wind forces, while automatic self-climbing core wall formwork and guided perimeter protection systems supported safer vertical construction. Lightweight aluminum slab formwork reduced manpower requirements and saved up to 40 percent in materials through early stripping, while crane-assisted metal shutter panels improved the safety and productivity of external shear wall construction.

These methods helped the project maintain a construction pace of about 2.5 floors per month across both towers while meeting quality, efficiency, and safety requirements. The contractor’s back-to-back Overall Winner titles at PECCA in 2025 and 2026 highlight its ability to apply construction expertise and technical solutions to improve project execution.
As Ayala Land continues to grow its portfolio across the country, stronger construction capabilities become an important part of delivering its projects at scale. The combined expertise of MDC, MDBI Construction Corporation, and MDC ConQrete gives the group greater control over key parts of the construction process, helping translate project plans into completed developments across its estates, commercial properties, and residential communities.
