25 Las Piñeros receive DOLE livelihood packages

Twenty-five Las Piñeros have received livelihood packages from the Department of Labor and Employment–National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) to help them start or expand income-generating activities.
The assistance was distributed during a program held at the PhilFIDA Gymnasium in Barangay Talon Dos through the partnership of DOLE-NCR and the Las Piñas City government, led by Mayor April Aguilar, with the support of Rep. Mark Anthony Santos.
Aguilar said the livelihood packages included equipment and materials for various small businesses, including barbecue vending, carinderia operations, tailoring, and other livelihood activities.
She said the program aims to assist self-employed individuals and parents of child laborers by providing them with resources to strengthen their existing livelihoods or establish new sources of income.
The beneficiaries will undergo quarterly monitoring to track the progress of their livelihood activities and identify areas for improvement, additional support, and possible expansion.
Aguilar said the city government will continue to work with national government agencies in providing livelihood and employment opportunities to residents and helping them build more sustainable sources of income.
