Among Filipino socialites who have transitioned into social media personalities, Small Laude is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable names. Her fans follow her content, from glimpses into her daily life and travels to her fashion and skincare routines.
Now, the businesswoman is giving her followers a chance to take a small step into her beauty routine. On Aug. 12, she officially opened the pop-up for her skincare brand, Small Steps Skin, at GH Mall in San Juan City.
In an interview with Manila Bulletin Lifestyle, Small shared that the brand’s products are formulated and made in South Korea, with their development guided by her own preferences and skincare needs.
“We really guided them while formulating the skincare,” Small said, adding that she personally tries the products before they are introduced.
The idea for the brand came from a question she frequently received from people who admired her complexion. “So many people were asking me why my skin is very nice,” she said. “And that's the time I started thinking about what if I do my own skincare?”

For Small, the skincare line is also an effort to address the needs of mature skin while remaining accessible to younger consumers. The products focus on hydration and ingredients intended to help skin look smoother and more youthful.
The brand aims to simplify skincare through a lineup featuring ingredients such as vitamin C, niacinamide, fruit acids, and bakuchiol. The collection is vegan and cruelty-free, and also suitable for all skin types.
The Daily Gentle Cleanser, which contains vitamin C and niacinamide, is designed to remove impurities without stripping the skin’s natural moisture.
“My favorite, really gentle cleanser,” she said. “All dirt will be washed off. And of course, it’s hydrating.”
She also named the Feel So Light Niacinamide Gel Cream among her favorites, praising the moisturizer for its lightweight finish.
For those looking to follow Small’s routine, Small Steps Skin offers individual products as well as sets. Its Pure Daily Essentials set combines the Daily Gentle Cleanser, Pore Caring Treatment Toner, Ultra Light Sunscreen, Brightening Power Glow Serum, and Feel So Light Niacinamide Gel Cream for both morning and evening routines.

The brand also expanded its portfolio with the Lip Serum line. Formulated with peptide, vitamin C, and ceramide, it is a lip treatment with a glossy finish. But despite the gloss, the formula is lightweight and non-sticky, making it suitable for everyday use.
The line comes in three variants: Sangria Slush, Mango Coconut, and White Rabbit. She revealed that her favorite is White Rabbit, as it’s inspired by her favorite iconic candy of the same name. Although it has this caramel-like smell, it’s colorless—ideal for those who prefer a your-lips-but-better look.
While the brand remains focused on skincare, its founder hinted that more products are coming. Small shared that a new skincare product is currently in development, with a teaser planned for release in October.
When asked whether she is planning to expand into makeup, she said she’s open to the idea.
“For now, we're concentrated and focused on skincare,” Small said. “But who knows?”
For Small, the journey is still about taking those small steps toward healthier-looking skin, one product and one routine at a time.
