Wish 107.5 celebrated 12 years of championing Filipino music and storytelling with the 21st edition of its “Wish Date” concert series, bringing together film, live theater and music before thousands of Wishers at the Araneta Coliseum on August 23.

Titled “Wish Date: Unchanging Glass,” the anniversary special unfolded like a film interrupted by live musical performances, with each song adding emotional weight to the story unfolding onstage.

For its 12th anniversary, the series presented "Unchanging Glass," a short film starring Zaijian Jaranilla, Yukii Takahashi and Aljon Mendoza, alongside Monina Lawrence, Sharmaine Suarez and Chikki Magbitang.

Rather than showing the film in one continuous presentation, the story was periodically interrupted by live performances, with each set complementing the emotions and themes of the scenes that preceded it. The Juans, dwta, Renz Verano and Pops Fernandez provided the musical soundtrack to the evening.

The Juans opened the show with “Hatid” before returning with crowd favorites including “Ako Na Lang,” “Ano Ba Talaga Tayo?,” “Ngiti,” and “Dulo.” They also performed a rendition of Rivermaya’s “Balisong.”

Bicolana singer-songwriter dwta brought her own brand of heartfelt storytelling through “Padaba Taka,” “Ang Pagibig Kong Ito,” “Sampung Mga Daliri” and “Pauwi Na 'Ko.” She also performed “The Hourglass,” the theme song of the short film.

OPM veteran Renz Verano performed “Remember Me” and “You and I” along with his renditions of “Lost Without Your Love,” “Kahit Isang Saglit” and “Narda.”

The biggest spotlight of the night belonged to Fernandez, who made her “Wish Date” debut with a set that showcased why she has remained one of Philippine entertainment’s enduring performers.

The Concert Queen performed “One Hello,” “Points of View,” “Little Star,” “Just Say You Love Me,” “Dito,” and “Don't Say Goodbye.”

Her appearance also underscored a career that has now spanned four decades.

For Wish 107.5’s 12th anniversary, that return to the stage became one of the evening’s most memorable moments, fittingly placed within a celebration built around stories of love, loss and moving forward.
